Major Attractions and adventures in San Diego

This southernmost city is California, famous for its sunny clear beaches, is packed with all kinds of tourists’ tastes right from what a kid likes to what a senior citizen might want to do. It is one of the largest cities in the California and so one can expect a plenty of options to spend days and weeks here. Talking about the major attractions and water adventures in San Diego, they range from the zoo to the historic sites in downtown and from beaches to museums. Nevertheless, the amusement parks and gardens add their own charm in drawing many enthusiasts of thrill and nature. So, I am about to share with you the major attractions in San Diego, which I liked a lot!

Sea World was on the top of my hit list of major attractions in San Diego as it was the first ever world of its kind on the globe. Go on with a tour wherein you can personally meet different kinds of animals like beluga whales, orca whales, a pilot whale, polar bears, dolphins, penguins, and manatees. Over 100 million adventurers have been a part of this site where a tour of Atlantis, Wild Arctic, and Shamu’s show welcome you. For its such unusual experience, the site charges the highest fees in the city – around $50 for an adult. So, for more fun with high cost, I suggest you to take up a two day pass of $60 as with this, you can be a part of the behind the scenes activities. Herein, you can closely see a pilot whale and enjoy with some different small sharks.

Another popular highlight of this promising city is the Wild Animal Park regarded as the ‘Future Zoo’. Situated at 35 miles from the city, the zoo is the home of freely wandering happy animals. Just do not ignore as it is not in the city; you do get rented cars to reach easily there. See the new lion habitat where I could see some three at a few inches away or try to feed giraffes. Do all this via an hour ride of train to explore all the different habitats. There are also dining arrangements available here.

One more world famous attraction is the San Diego Zoo that has included the city in the top list of the tourists. The main feature here is that there are many displays that are not seen anywhere else like watching panda bears. Do not miss a visit to the Mountain Gorilla habitat where we saw a baby gorilla amusing us. The zoo is home of over 4,000 animals and is best explored via the Skyfari aerial tram that offers a panoramic view.
